NEWS ARCHIVE14th October 2007
Whoa, a year and two days since the last update! This is my new URL guys. Please wait. :) 30th March, 2006
Apologies for the extreme lack of updates. It appears my internet problem has effected my efficiency and initiative to even wanting to update this damned website. By the next month, I'll be confirming my status and updating this page adding one new sequence, perhaps my WIP stuff again somehow, and a handful of new compositions. Same goes for my ACIDPlanet.com page, but I'm not even sure myself whether I should add the audio stuff there or not right now. (It's all 4/4 beat crap at the moment.. I'm not really into that.) I'm waiting for another composition contest at VGMusic.com to come up again. For now, I'm joining Friday OHC's at Omidia.net Forums for double-session one-hour composition sessions, hosted by our friendly jazzmusic neighbour, Jormungand. gimme a month and I'll fix this place up in a few!

HAPPY FUCKEN NEW YEAR!!
Yeah. Um, how are you guys... Yes, it's another empty handed update, but I thought I'd keep you guys posted on what's going on.
Sample Pack Contest 2 is going to be a fucken success no doubt. All you lazy cunts, post your entries and cut Lunar some slack! :D Also, I managed to score another song to remix for the Kirby Milkyway Wishes Storybook Project (Hosted by Arek and KWarp at OCRemix.org forums.) My blind success to actually placing on Zircon's OVGMC3 composing contest, My piece "Arndea Selinn" managed to pull of a 3rd! O_O Seriously, my piece isn't compositionally impressive at all you tone-deaf fuckers!! But oh well, the smell of some kind of victory and respect paid off. :D
Enough bragging, now after 11 months, I find I didn't make it to ANY of the ACIDPlanet/Synthvox remix contests. :( Oh well, I will try harder in the future.. Rest assured.
I think I might scrap my Philippines 2005 Trip blog, since I've lost interest on it. Um..Cruxeline Auriea will commence sometime this year. I'm still deciding on whether to do it as written text or some other form...i don't know. :S If time sways past, it will be started. School workload will increase for me this year, so I may not be able to accomplish too much. (It's quite a big stepping stone to adulthood I guess. Haha!) Completing grades will be a priority and that is no exception.
I am still trying to figure out a better way to host this website as I find freewebs far by the most tedious to use in comparison to folder-FTP organizing. :( (And netfirms is an asshole. Geoshitties withdrew free FTP. I do NOT want to be associated with Lycos free websites.) But yeah, a website rehaul is in the planbook.
Other than that, all of you enjoy your Happy Holidays as much as you can! :)

It's an early Christmas season it seems. Due to circumstances, the lack of updates to this website is due to neglectence and pure laziness. I haven't done any MIDI sequencing as of late, but I've been involved with the Sample Pack Contest 2 hosted at VGMusic.com Forums. Also, I'm making some sort of progress with two songs for the SD3 SLD OCRemix Project. If all else, I've made various attempts of a speed increase on audio composition. If I get time (and the right method of hosting) I will update my links and so. The broken links will be fixed as of December 25.
Until then, HAND ME URGENT SEQUENCING REQUESTS PLEASE. Additionally, thanks to those interested to WinJammer Pro. Feel free to email back with mirror links so others can download it from your server. (Then I won't be responsible for any issues involved. :) )

New MIDI sequence: Gunstar Heroes - Theme of Green / Seven Force
Long absence. Finally finished another previous reqeust. Bloody hell is this song dynamic. I can't keep it GM-friendly so it may hurt your ears unless you have XG or a good soundfont.
-MaliceX (James-Alan Nguyen)October 8, 2005
New MIDI sequence: Gunstar Heroes - Introduction pt.1 Legend of Heroes 2 - The Soldier's Whistle
Absence yet again. Proof I'm not dead yet. Just concentrating on other things...which reminds me, I should concentrate on opening the door in the dark while going inside a car next time. I CUT MYSELF NEAR MY LEFT EYE!!! (Lucky it doesn't hurt but I'm worried..)
-MaliceX (James-Alan Nguyen)September 10, 2005
New MIDI sequence: Gunstar Heroes - Stage Clear
Short tune. Sounds 99%, if not somewhat reasonable, than the original. Even when using the GS sysex under an XG, it still sounds bad on the MSGS/VSC which is very strange.. lol
-MaliceX (James-Alan Nguyen)September 5, 2005
New MIDI sequence: Gunstar Heroes - Ancient Ruins
Collaborative sequence. Volunteered to finish off GeckoYamori's WIP sequence and finished the same day. :P Make that accelerating faster!
-MaliceX (James-Alan Nguyen)September 4, 2005
New MIDI sequence: Gunstar Heroes - Gunstar G-9 Under Attack
Slowing down again..don't worry. I'm sure these lazy buggers who can't be bothered to drop me a line will reconsider by the time I completely stop doing things like refusing to sequence unless it's a request.. :D Um, I'll be sure to present some more material sooner or later. (I just realised I need to finish that damn trip log.)

New MIDI sequence: Gunstar Heroes - Subterranean Caves
Still continuing with my personal project. Apparently there is some kind of attentive interest those who've seen the topics I have posted. (Pending collaborative group sequencing effort.) Oh yeah, as a boredom project plan of my own, I decided to start writing up a plan of what seems to be a discography list of songs/albums that I may release in the distant future. (Okay, maybe not THAT distant.)
Everybody keep your eyes peeled for the GBA release of Gunstar Super Heroes! Damn I swear the trailer looks so awesome. From the first-ever game completely remade. I hope there's co-op support with gamelink. :D
-MaliceX (James-Alan Nguyen)August 22, 2005
New MIDI sequence: Gunstar Heroes - Theme of Black
Yeah, that's right. I don't forget my promises. (Oh wait I have...but...I GOT AN ALIBI SO THERE. :P)
Oh and another involvement with another remix project at OCRemix forums: Songs of Light and Darkness (Yeah, I also love leeching bandwidth.) So um..yeah. Somebody remind me what things I've said to do ages ago but haven't done NOW!! (GuestMap, GuestBook, Forums, heck even EMAIL...speaking of email, I'm now eligible to hand out invites so if you want an invite LET ME KNOW!
-MaliceX (James-Alan Nguyen)August 7, 2005 ADDED OLD SOUNDFONT PROJECTS TO DOWNLOADS PAGE
If anyone remembers (Thanks for enjoying this, Tsu Ryu! ^^) I previously had a webpage hosting soundfonts I had created. (Well, kinda, but I put it togehter so there!) I'll let you guys see for yourself..please note, these will ONLY WORK IF YOU HAVE A DEVICE THAT CAN USE SOUNDFONTS FOR MIDI PLAYBACK!!
-MaliceX (James-Alan Nguyen)August 5, 2005
Daily update. New remix: era ~experimental~ (Remix of that DDR4 song..)
Okay, actually, it's more of an experimental test subject for use with a couple new VSTi's I yoinked. Though this is nowhere near as close to being classed as IDM. (Intelligent Dance Music). I promise I might create better remixes..
Site reorganization? FEED ME BACK AND I WILL.
-MaliceX (James-Alan Nguyen)August 4, 2005
Nothing much happened really. Boring day as usual..though everything will happen on the weekend for me. I've finally made a start on my Cruxeline Auriea story..though I'm still trying to get my noggin working on an actual 'plot.' (With the minor exception of nightly imaginations of one character's point of view...uhh..yeah.) And I'm wondering if I actually need a fecking hit counter. (In case you haven't noticed, I don't have one. Yippee! *hack*) But anyway, oh and SwordBolt's sorta got the message; he sequenced a rather decent MIDI of the intro theme of Gunstar Heroes..which I was ABOUT to sequence next. (Dah!)
I've just realised some of my downloads I provided during earlier years aren't on this site!! >_< I'll add them sometime!
Lastly, new affiliate. Robert Hansson aka Horn handed me a link to his website. Refer to the links page.
Oh I hope things go well now. My creativity side is returning to me, while at the same time my dislike of my Angstish teacher, Ms. Brockman, remains steady. (More info on that later.. I'm not in a position to disclose any kind of grudge at the moment, just annoyed at the way she educates the class I'm in..and English is my favourite subject!! >_<;)
Get out the hairclippers, jerk! Cut the mullet! -MaliceX (James-Alan Nguyen)August 2, 2005
It's my burtday tomorrow. For sure my arm will be displaced by the time I step into the Laverton Secondary schoolgrounds. *Let's front! 50 Got a gun?*
Meh, anyway, for your pleasure, sometime soon hopefully I will manage to get my folks to purchase me a MIDI2USB(PC) cable for my CASIO CTK-501 keyboard.
GOOD NEWS. For those that think remixing or slacking is all I do these days, you've been proven wrong. NEW SEQUENCE: BGM 86 "Bravo Man" from Gunstar Heroes. It's a forever-repeating shortie, but it was by request. This starts on my next step to attempting to do the whole soundtrack when nothing else bothers me!!
SwordBolt: Yeah that's right, I CHALLENGE you. ;) If you do a GH MIDI, I'll do another one. (If you want. :P) Finally, still waiting for remixes to be resulted on certain mainstream music contests..thinking about contributing to another OCRemix.org project (Street Fighter II one maybe?) or..hmm. I can't finish my original compositions if I have no means of recording either. (I HATE 100% clickmouse composing even though it has been accomplished before.) At least I've got an excuse to participate on those at OMIDIA.. I really wish I made an entry for CdlR#5... *smacks self repeatedly* So many regrets... T_T Question for GMAIL people: How come I don't have an invitation box like someone else I know who uses GMAIL?
-MaliceX (James-Alan Nguyen)July 31, 2005
Hell yeah! BOTH my mixes for the SGX remix project made it to the final list! Now to send .APE-compressed copies to Danny. :D (Gimme a moment. In a few hours you'll have 'em in your email inbox!) In other news, I've finally decided to return to MIDI sequencing for a couple of reasons:
I've still yet to see who won on the music remixing contests I've entered ages ago.
Getting bored of using ACID..though I won't neglect.
I feel my MIDI 'skillz' are beginning to fade..so it's best to do some serious MIDI work once again!
Starting from today, I'll be focusing on getting the GUNSTAR HEROES soundtrack to MIDI. If possible, I'd like some kind support from those other sequencers there who're willing to do a couple from this game as well. (Or if you got a WIP or two of this game's tracks, send it my way and I might help you out. ;) )
Before anyone asks, no, I'm not DEAD. Just busy with a lot of other things. You want me dead? I'll send my triads on yo ass..blow your head off even! ("My Buddy" from G-Unit is awesome IMO)
So...Gunstar Heroes.. I remember playing this game every time I went over to my cousin's place. Was a killer to beat. Too bad this game was twice as known than to its newer counterpart, Silhouette Mirage. I also should organize my Digital Music sections...and my composition sections. >_< (Why am I so lazy!?) And then there's that planned story I had in mind. My creativity's gonna kill me. (So I've started reviewing a couple of shit. No Big.)
On wit da progremm!!..

http://www.supergreenx.com
Very good stuff. :) I'll try uploading my new stuff at a later date..because right now I'm not exactly sure when I can start showing off undisclosed works. :D
VGMusic.com is back for those that care.. RPBoards needs more members. Please go ahead and invite people! When you register, please put "MaliceX" as the refferal. :D
I also got a new address: djtuBIG.MaliceX@gmail.com. Please email there instead now.. If I can, I'll be willingly inviting a few.
-MaliceX (James-Alan Nguyen)July 17, 2005
Returned to school..and is thrown a pile of homework literally in the face!.....yeah. ;)
Digital Audio is becoming more and more interesting day by day.. already I've jumped the gun and thought to just suddenly appear and contribute to a project thread in OCRemix.com forums. Additionally, I may be involved with organizing and/or creating audio for a MEDIA STUDIES electives course I'm taking in school.
MIDI's you say? Well..first off, I cleared my WIP folder from the FTP for the time being. I need to organize my local directory THEN I will shove in an updated list of WIPs and misc. MIDI files.
As a forementioned notice, I HAVE MIDISOFT STUDIO 4 (1994) IN CASE ANYBODY WANTS IT!
-MaliceX (James-Alan Nguyen)July 7, 2005
In case any of you haven't been informed, please switch your television sets to the news immediately..
This is also to confirm that I will be adding some more links and affiliates. You should know the drill..
Finally, I've put up some more digital music files in their appropriate sections. Give 'em a listen and leave feedback PLEASE!!

Refreshing news page. Decided to begunning wtih teh N00se arch1v351!11one!!uno!~!`11
*cough* I apologize for the slow pace this is taking me to patch up all the holes on this website, but until then, I cannot fix anything that is broken if I don't know about it. In other words, do you guys expect me to rummage through dozens of HTML code only to find one (maybe two..or more.) simple hyperlink error? In case anyone didn't notice, please scroll to the very bottom of this page.
..rightio.. I also plan to add some more links and get some of my unlinked files accessible for the time being. I haven't been able to sequence anything as of late..but I'm gonna have to re-organize some sections on the Music side of the site at a later date. In the meantime, enjoy staring at my pitiful Guestbook/map below. (Courtesy of Bravenet Web Tools)

Am I a slow ass or am I just fricken lazy? Hmm..figures..expect some interesting files to pop up in a moment in the Digital Audio Remixes section. Now to figure out what the bleep to get on with. (I have a lot of things in queue at the moment..well, not like anyone GIVES A DAMN.)
-MaliceX (James-Alan Nguyen)June 25, 2005
In case anyone didn't notice, my WIPs folder is accessible, under a condition that it is one user per session. (Damn those guys..oh well.) School's out for 2 weeks for me, so if I get around to it, I will fix up those sections.. My story, Cruxeline Auriea, is coming soon. Same reason as above, get around to it I will finish the first readable page. (Aye.. x_x) Finally, check out my little remix I made: The Game ft. 50 Cent - How We Do ~dj.tuBIG redux~(Well..first time I actually USED my alternate alias, but this is also the first time I remixed something of this genre, though I think it could've been better.)

If anyone knows of any suggestions on how to get my incomplete MIDI section working, let me know. (Open an extra netfirms account for scabbing one-user-per-login-session access to the full folder? What?) Email me please, because I'm running out of ideas. Anyways...for your pleasure, I've put up the Title Fanfare song from GunBound to the MIDI sequences section. I've counted the number of total sequences (including alternate versions) and adds up to 248! If you think I miscounted (Like if you're bored..) then tell me via email or the message board.
A final note: Does anyone reckon it's okay to upload WinJammer Pro 5.06 now, since the author disappeared, and nobody else but a few of us are using it? (Which reminds me...thanks to a good friend of mine, I've also obtained another copy of outdated, no-longer-being-sold MIDI software called MIDISoft Studio 4. Anyone wants it, you know the drill. (Visit his site too.. be warned as there is reference to crude comedy. ;P) I'll update the Misc. files section later. I have to go drumming tomorrow!! ^^;
COMING UPDATES WILL COMMENCE SOON..MOST LIKELY DURING THE HOLIDAYS, AND PLEASE DROP A MESSAGE ON THE FORUMS OR FEAR THE POWER!!

MIDI work is still off of my mind, though I'm always addicted to visiting Omidia.net every single day without posting. (Go figure.) RPBoards has gone a little quiet, and schoolwork seems to be piling up even on the end of term/semester 1. (Welcome to Year 9, pricks..)
Oh, and for your personal pleasure, I need help with Starcraft maps I made. You can download them here
Read the txt file included in the zip. Umm...yeah, that's about all I can tell all of you guys for the moment. In the meantime, if you have a request, PLEASE FREAKING POST ON THE MESSAGE BOARD! If you don't like compulsory registration, LET ME KNOW!
-MaliceX (James-Alan Nguyen)June 4, 2005
Hmm...okay, well now that I'm settled here fully, I think now would be a good time to touch up a few things, maybe a bit of page checkup..but I gotta do some homework first.. :\
Anyway, I'm requestiong a few things:
Bomberman B-DAMAN 2 (JAP)
Name of a Font-making program besides Softy.
I assure you, once I get off my fat ass and stop lazing around, I'll have a more better update. (Speaking of update, my overseas report is coming quite nicely..even though the effort was for one day.. :D -Evermore song.)
-MaliceX (James-Alan Nguyen)May 15, 2005
Holy shizzit, I have returned to Australia! Hmm...well, all I can say is, the trip was excellent, but after stepping off the plane onto the Tullamarine International Airport, everything feels so different as if we've travelled to the future..
Umm, well, keep your eyes peeled cos I will upload a whole document on my whole trip. (Request by my English Teacher, Mrs. J. Brockman AKA Birdface.) For your pleasure to read. In other news, my computer at the moment is OOC/OOA (Out of Commision/Action) right now due to a busted RAM chip, but no matter as it is going to soon be upgraded..from then it'll make it tons easier to do things now!
Also, we just got a Broadband connection (cheap 400MB starter plan, good enough since I can stand slow speeds after the limit anyway) from your kind dealers of OptusNet(R) Australia.
Give me about 3 weeks to get back on track and get things sorted. And keep your eyes peeled for Cruxeline Auriea! (Name not final)
-MaliceX (James-Alan Nguyen)April 20, 2005
Ah yes, this is an update while I'm overseas. (Internet Cafe, gotta love em!) Uhm, anyway, just to clarify, I am aware that the site still has many broken links. I thought I cleared them up but apparently it was a rush job so I hadn't any time to fix things up.
Nevertheless, when I get back, I will fix them ASAP.....
Hmm, well, the Philippines. I am residing here at San Jose City 6 hours north of Manila. The weather here is hot and sizzly; tropical heat which seems much more enjoyable than that of Australia for some strange reason. (To me anyway.)
Right now it is my second week, and things are getting a little sleazy right now. It's also interesting to see all the kids around you who are either relatives or second relatives to our relatives, or otherwise next-door-friends, would speak to you in curiosity. (They all speak talagalog...erm, I mean Tagalog, the National dialect of the Philippines...besides Ilocano. :D)
..oh yeah, it's funny how things are so different here. American-UK mix, and Tricycles..which I must mention that the city I'm at is the city with the most tricycles as far as I'm concerned.
Okay, adios everyone. I'll catch up with some of my overdue stuff I have ASAP. :)..
PS:I'm planning to make some sort of story of my own...featuring two characters named Kyoko & Riulyn (both girls.) Got any ideas? Let me know via email.
-MaliceX (James-Alan Nguyen)April 6, 2005
Site should now be 80% Operational before I hop on the plane 4 days from now. (Not 100% because there're a few sections that haven't been worked on, but are planned for, in the future.)
In the meantime, enjoy my try-hard photoshopped logos spread around the site. ;P~~ *drool*
