1st January 2007 (HFNY2K8!)
Well, it's been quite inactive here. I'm always around but a lot has been going on for me outside internet life and well...the Grand New Year has come once again already... *sigh*
I've managed to earn the Grant Music Award Trophy for 2007 at my school (soon to be named Laverton P-12 College) for efforts involving music performance and whatnot during the school year. I'll be taking my final VCE units (Year 12) so things will be quite hectic for me this coming months. But until then, I'll do what I can during the holiday break and at least make an effort to get something in.

In case no one noticed, I uploaded some more music, one being a sequence from the old classic Zone 66, and some tunes my cousin had me help him put together, and then there's the stuff you hear on my MySpace... What I'm looking forward to this year is getting my hands dirty on a rare Yamaha SW1000XG soundcard! A contact at KVR Forums has offered to send me his one since he's not using it anymore and simply can't stand it being unused in his studio setup. (BIG KUDOS to Scot Solida for the generosity!) I've always wanted one for years, and well...it's finally happening! :D

Oh yeah, before I forget, I might get back into MIDI sequencing sooner or later. I really miss being able to decipher tunes and feel great about finishing them... I've always been hooked on toying around with Sound Design with VSTi's and sure, it's a huge learning experience but one doesn't usually undertake this at my age. Great stuff to know but I think I should slow down a bit because it's also costed me time. (You've probably seen my Oatmeal video on YouTube, and seen some preset patches for certain VSTi's floating around the net...) Which reminds me, if there's anything you want to do with audio, there's GREAT stuff already released as freeware. (Vember Audio Shortcircuit; sampler, audjoo Helix; synthesizer)

Oh yeah, for those that don't know, I also do DIY acapella extraction work (well..as long there are instrumentals for it.) So far I've done about 5. If you're interested, contact me.

OK. I should stop talking nonsense now... Seeya!
